05 Oct Yahoo Finally Discloses Real Number of Affected Accounts in 2013 Hack
UK’s privacy watchdog recently expressed its disappointment with Yahoo’s disclosure of information regarding the massive hack that hit the company in 2013.
Yahoo initially said that only one billion accounts were compromised. However, it was revealed that information including email addresses and security questions for all three billion accounts were accessed by a third party.
Elizabeth Denham, UK Information Commissioner said that it is deeply concerning that the Verizon-acquired company would still be uncovering problems despite the span of time that had elapsed since the incident.
