Wikileaks: CIA Has the Ability to Hack Offline Computers

New documents published on June 22 by WikiLeaks suggest that even when extreme measures such as going offline, are taken, no computer is safe from resourceful, experienced, and motivated hackers. The released documents described a software called “Brutal Kangaroo” that targets internet-connected networks within the same organization. It begins by remotely infecting a computer in a targeted organization and waits until somebody plugs a USB onto it.  If a thumb drive carrying Brutal Kangaroo is plugged in a computer, it will create a copy of itself onto it. Additional malware collecting data will also be triggered if the user  tries to browse the infected drive
