Wendy’s Philippines Hit by Data Breach

The National Privacy Commission revealed this week that the data of around 80,000 individuals, including customers and applicants, had been compromised in a leak last month of Wendy’s Philippines website.

The commission had already ordered the company, Wenphil Corp., to alert people whose data had been affected within 72 hours last May 2.

The NPC also divulged that the culprits who posted the information which include names, hashed passwords, and contact numbers are still unknown, and the exposure of the information pose a significant risk to the affected parties.
