30 May WeChat Launches New Privacy Rules
China’s most popular social platform, WeChat, has recently launched a new set of privacy rules as part of a wider overhaul to protect user data and comply with the GDPR.
In addition to the strict rules already in place, the company has introduced new rules focusing on regulating external linking, curbing excessive marketing, preventing violation of intellectual property rights, and preserving user privacy.
WeChat also updated the international version of its privacy terms concerning rules of usage, the location of storage, and applicable laws and regulations a week ago.
