30 Jun US Privacy Defenders Say Regulators Need Better Tools to Avoid Vehicle Cyberattacks
In a forum on vehicle privacy and safety that was hosted by the Federal Trade Commission and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, privacy advocates advised U.S regulators to take additional steps to ensure vehicle-to-vehicle data that is used to avert crashes, is protected and prevented from being used against drivers.
Policy counsel of the Center for Democracy and Technology Joseph Jerome cautioned that privacy is lessened as additional sensors and cameras are installed and connected to cars.
