07 Jul UK’s ICO to Fund Innovative Privacy Solutions
The UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office announced that it has launched a second round of funding to support independent, innovative research and solutions that focus on privacy and data protection issues.
ICO confirmed that the grants will range between £20,000 and £100,000, which is expected to present a high-value opportunity for the third-sector and their technology partners.
ICO is welcoming proposals that have a practical application and provide real world solutions that are of clear public benefit to the public. Solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, biometric and facial recognition, verification, information sharing, privacy compliance and enhancement are highly favoured.
