UK Likely to Microchipped Workers in Near Future, Experts Say

The Trade Union Congress recently raised concerns over plans of British companies to implant their workers with microchips in the name of security.

Richard Skellett, a founder of Digital Anthropologist and an expert for Future of Work, predicts that the practice will only increase as it is high on the agenda list for many companies since liabilities around people increase as robots cost less than people.

It was reported that a company called BioTeq has already fitted 150 implants in the UK, while Swedish company Biohax said that it is already in discussions with several British legal and financial firms about chipping their employees.
