26 Apr Twitter Releases Updated Privacy Policy
Last Tuesday, Twitter unveiled its new privacy policy where it lays out how it collects, uses, and shares its users’ data.
The new policy is set to take effect on the same date as the EU’s GDPR which gives European citizens rights to access and delete their data that companies such as Twitter collects from them. According to a company spokesperson, the policy is a singular document which explains their privacy practices to users irrespective of location.
This means that all users will be included in the new rights afforded by the GDPR. However, Forrester business analyst Fatemeh Khatibloo pointed out that only EU residents will have the force of law behind the regulations.
