19 May Twitter CEO Discusses Privacy with US Lawmakers
Several US lawmakers met with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey last Thursday for a discussion on issues regarding data privacy and net neutrality.
According to a Twitter spokesperson, Dorsey’s visit to Capitol Hill is part of a regular outreach by the company. Democratic senator Ed Markey tweeted that they were able to tackle issues such as online privacy and immigration. Meanwhile, Rep. James Clyburn of the Congressional Black Caucus tweeted that they were able to address topics such as election security and digital ad transparency legislation with Dorsey.
Dorsey also talked with top Republican lawmakers where the conversation was focused more on the potential misuse of the platform.
