09 Jan Twitter Account of Canadian Senator Hacked, Personal Info Leaked
The Twitter account of conservative Canadian senator Linda Frum was hacked last Sunday by an unknown group of hackers who also tweeted out her personal information including her drivers licence and some racial slurs.
The motive of the hackers, who refered to themselves as the “spank gang”, could not be ascertained. However, in one tweet they said that they “don’t appreciate corrupt politicians” along with a Palestinian flag emoji.
It was noted that the Twitter account of another conservative senator, Don Plett, also had his Twitter account hacked in late October.
