Survey Says Many Clients Read Privacy Policies before Signing Up to App

In a study of 65,000 people, through the Mobile Ecosystem Forum’s Consumer Trust Report shows that 75% of the participants read the terms of conditions and privacy policies prior to signing up with a mobile app or service.

53% of the respondents indicated that it was very important to know if an app or service is using their personal data. 86% said if their trust is challenged, they will go and take some action while 44% said that they will desist using the service.

The survey was taken during the second quarter of this year and included consumers from the US, UK, China, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Romania, South Africa, and Spain
