08 Jan Singapore Airlines Website Bug Exposes KrisFlyer Members Info
Singapore Airlines revealed last Friday that the personal details of around 280 KrisFlyer members may have been leaked by a bug affecting its website.
A SIA spokesperson said that the leaked information may have included names, e-mail addresses, account numbers, membership tier statuses, KrisFlyer miles and rewards, travel history and in seven cases, passport details.
SIA assured that no financial details had been leaked and the breach was caused only by a software bug an not a deliberate attempt by a third party.
