11 Aug Researcher Says Modified Macbook Charger Can be Used to Hijack Laptop
A researcher who goes by the handle MG recently said that it was possible to hijack a Macbook using a modified USB-C type charger.
MG said that by replacing the internals of a normal charger, he was able to take control of a computer without the user knowing.
He also said that the technique works on HP, Lenovo and a bunch of other systems, and added that it poses a significant security risk as such chargers are borrowed, lost, and replaced quite often.
