15 Jan Real Estate Recruiter Blamed for Australian CV Data Leak
In a statement this week, Australian real estate network First National said that a recruitment agency it uses called Sales Inventory Profile was responsible for the leak of the information it had on its job applicants.
Sales Inventory Profile claims to be the “world’s first sales staff pre-selection software” that allows its users to identify with high accuracy which candidates can sell even before the interview. Companies including Sophos, Starr Partners, and Professionals Real Estate Group are currently listed as the firm’s clients.
The security researchers who discovered the leak a few weeks ago said that he found over 6,000 CVs and cover letters of real estate industry applicants in an unprotected S3 bucket, complete with full names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and other personal information.
