08 Dec ProtonMail Expands Support for Popular Email Clients
ProtonMail recently announced support for email clients that use IMAP and SMTP such as Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and Outlook with a new tool called ProtonMail Bridge.
Seeking to appeal to more mainstream users, ProtonMail says that it can now run on these newly supported clients while maintaining its core offerings, which is end-to-end encryption. The company adds that users will not need to make any modifications or alter their workflow as the Bridge tool will run and encrypt/decrypt in the background. Users will be able to do full body text searches and manage multiple accounts as well.
