Private Health Care Gets Protection from Snooping

The Prince Edward Island (PEI) government is looking to enhance protections for private-health care data from unauthorized data collecting with it’s new by that will take effect on July 1.

PEI Information and Privacy Commissioner Karen Rose said the Health Care Act will reassure people that their personal records are safe, and will encourage them to share all relevant information with their health provider.
