Privacy Lawsuit Filed Against Google for Tracking Users

A lawsuit against Google had been filed last Friday by San Diego resident Napoleon Patacsil who says that Google had falsely assured users that they won’t be tracked if they turn off the “Location History” feature on their phones.

It was previously reported that users are still being tracked by Google despite their privacy settings, with some users complaining that it is almost impossible to prevent their location from being monitored using their phones.

Patacsil, who is seeking class-action status on behalf of affected Android and iPhone users in the US, is suing for unspecified damages for Google’s alleged intentional violations of California privacy laws, and intrusion into people’s private affairs.
