16 Jun Privacy Issues Prompt Facebook to Change Audit Committee Charter
Facebookâs board of directors had reportedly broadened the charter of its audit committee to cover risk oversight responsibilities such as community safety, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
However, it is said that the move was largely just a gesture to reassure shareholders that the tech giant takes social responsibility seriously.
The audit committee, chaired by former White House chief of staff Erskine Bowles, also includes venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, former American Express CEO Ken Chenault and former Obama economic advisor Jeff Zients.
