14 Feb Previously Featured Anti-Ad Fraud Gets Bumped to Chrome 66
It was reported that Chrome’s much anticipated fix for forced-redirect ads has been delayed until Chrome 66 which will be released in April.
The feature, which was supposed to be shipped with Chrome 64, was supposed to prevent surprising and invasive browser redirects. Jerome Dangu, chief technical officer of Confiant, expressed his disappointment in the inability of current browsers to prevent redirection.
For now, the only way to activate the anti-redirect feature on Chrome would be via the hidden interface by typing “chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture” and then select “Enabled” from the menu to the right of that page’s first item before re-launching the browser.
