30 Dec Prepare for Privacy, Data Security Issues, Ad Agency Warns
In its annual report “Key Digital Trends for 2018”, advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather urged brands to prepare for the “seriously serious” issues regarding privacy, data security, and state-backed cyber attacks.
Oglivy warned businesses and marketers against increasing threats posed by trolls, the dark web, attacks on privacy, the rapid dissemination of misinformation, and cyber attacks as foreign policy tool.
The agency added that preparing for government data regulations is key to confronting issues on fraud and effectiveness that marketers may have to face.
