The woman who had been documented having a “love connection” with her seatmate on a flight is now imploring netizens to give her some privacy, saying that she had already been doxxed, shamed, insulted and harassed.
The woman, who was dubbed #PrettyPlaneGirl, said that she did not ask nor welcome the attention she is currently getting. However, her seatmate Euan Holden seemed to embrace the attention.
Experts noted that the #PlaneBae Story had became a cautionary tale about privacy, identity, ethics and consent in the digital age. The woman who took the video also deleted her post and apologized this week, saying that she has come to see what she had done as an invasion of privacy.
