28 Nov Personal Information of Oxford and Cambridge Club Members Stolen
A backup hard drive containing the personal information of members of Oxford and Cambridge’s exclusive club was reported to have been stolen from their London headquarters sometime around November 16.
Information on the club’s 5000 members including names, phone numbers, home addresses, and even bank details are said to be stored in the drive.
Some of the club’s notable members who may have been affected by the breach include actor Stephen Fry and astrophysicist Lord Rees. However, the information of honorary members such as the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales have not been compromised.
