Personal Information of Thousands of Pot Smokers Leaked by Canada Post

Canada Post has reportedly leaked the order records of around 4,500 customers of the Ontario Cannabis Store this week.

According to a tweet by the OCS, an unnamed individual had compromised information including names or initials of nominated signatories, postcodes, dates of delivery, OCS reference numbers, Canada Post tracking numbers, and OCS corporate names and business addresses.

While cannabis is already legal in the area, and full delivery addresses, order contents, and payment information were not affected, it is said that users taking advantage of the change in legislation would not necessarily want their usage to be known.
