23 Jan OnePlus Confirms System was Breached by Hackers
Chinese phone maker OnePlus recently confirmed that the leak of their customer’s credit card information was caused by a breach of their systems. The company had already notified customers via email last Friday that their card numbers, expiry dates, and security codes “may have been compromised.”
The company said that they immediately launched an investigation and suspended all credit card payments upon learning of the breach. They added that they are also working with a cybersecurity firm to fix their systems and are currently looking for credit monitoring firms for their affected customers.
Only those who used their credit cards on the site in between mid-November and January 11 are likely to have been affected. The information of Paypal users were not included in the leak.
