06 Sep OnePlus CEO To Respond To India’s Privacy Concern
Pete Lau, CEO of Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus, says that his company is ready to respond to the Indian government’s inquiry regarding data privacy and security.
Lau says that such concerns had already been assuaged in other parts of the globe, in USand Europe in particular where the same smartphones are being sold. He added that privacy and security are in fact, one of their selling points.
The company, which has received funding support from companies such as BBK Electronics, says that they are also seeking further clarity from the Indian government since they have not received any direct requests or requirements related to the privacy concern.
