06 Dec NPC to Issue Compliance Order for Uber PH
At a press briefing last Tuesday, National Privacy Commission (NPC) Commissioner Raymund Liboro said that they will be issuing Uber Philippines a compliance order to demand certain conditions in connection to the company’s data breach which had affected users in the country.
Liboro said that they may ask Uber to set up information centers for those who need assistance regarding the breach, as well as provide identity theft insurance for victims.
However, he added that the order has yet to be drafted since information from their investigation is still coming in.
