05 Jul NPC, DICT to Conduct Data Privacy Orientation in Butuan This Month
The National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Mindanao Cluster 2 will be holding an orientation called the Data Privacy Roadshow at Almont Hotel’s Inland Resort, Butuan City on July 10, 2018.
DICT cluster director/DICT Mindanao 2 Evamay Dela Rosa says that they aim to educate the local government units, national government agencies, academe and private sector on compliance with Republic Act 10173 also known as Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Dela Rosa adds that the attendees will also be able to familiarize themselves with the law’s IRR and the commission’s regulations on compliance or the “5 Utos”; carry out its sectoral-wide Privacy Impact Assessment and Privacy by Design; build a Privacy Resilience Workplace; and undergo a Privacy Impact Assessment Workshop.
