26 Apr NPC: 2000 Affected in Government Data Breach
The National Privacy Commission revealed last Tuesday that the data of at least 2000 individuals had been affected by the cyberattacks on government websites last April 1.
The Commission had already summoned officials from the schools, institutions and local government units involved in the breach for not notifying the NPC, nor the affected data subjects within 72 hours.
According to NPC Chief Raymund Liboro, the authorities are already pursuing the malicious actors who posted the personal data of their victims via download links on Facebook.
