Nokia to Secure Health Data Using Blockchain

In a recent press release, Nokia announced that it has partnered with the OP Financial Group in a project which will use blockchain technology to store and secure healthcare data.

The trial involves 100 participants whose data will be gathered using wearable devices and stored on the blockchain.

Nokia says that the potential of connected health data is not being fully tapped due to privacy, authenticity, and availability concerns. OP Financial added that the pilot program should show how blockchain tech can be used in applications that require trust from its users.
