24 Nov New Version of ProtonMail Comes with Additional Security Features
ProtonMail, an email client popular with privacy-focused users, will now come with additional security enhancements.
The Swiss-based startup says that the ProtonMail v3.12 will feature a zero-access encrypted contacts manager which will also digitally sign the contact info entered into it. This feature may come in handy particularly for journalists who want to protect the contact information of their source.
The digital signature verification will be available even to free users. Co-founder Andy Yen says that the e2e encrypted contact fields feature may also be made available to free users in the future.
