19 Apr New Study Says Consumers Still Wary of Smart Home Devices
According to a new survey conducted by VoIP provider Ooma, smart home systems are still considered to be a significant privacy concern for majority of consumers.
The study showed that 72% of 2000 US consumers are still afraid that companies may misuse their personal data. 23% meanwhile said that they would turn off their smart security system so their visitors will not feel spied on.
On Amazon Key, as high as 87% said that they feel uncomfortable with companies going inside their homes to deliver packages and 88% felt negatively about delivery companies collecting information on them.
