02 Aug New Report Says Businesses Overconfident in Handling Consumer Trust
According to a recent report by CA Technologies, there is a big divide between the expectations of businesses and consumers when it comes to digital trust, with the former being “overconfident” with their data protection policies.
The report found that as high as 90% of companies say that they are good at protecting consumer data, but 48% of executives admitted that their organization had been involved in a consumer data breach within the last year.
Mismatched perceptions were also highlighted in the report, with consumer having a digital trust index of 61 points out of 100, as opposed to 75 points of business decision makers and cyber security professionals.
