20 Dec New AWS Paris Region Facilitates Easier Compliance to French Data Privacy Rules
Earlier this week, Amazon Web Services launched its fourth EU region in Paris which, according to the company, should make it easier for business to be compliant with France’s strict data privacy regulations.
AWS CEO Andy Jassy said that the new AWS Region will be able to provide better service to customers in France with latency-sensitive workloads, or those that need to keep their data within the country.
The new region is also certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will be implemented on May 25, 2018.
