02 Dec NCF Compromises Private Data of US Customers
Chris Vickery of security company UpGuard recently divulged that the private information of US citizens in National Credit Federation’s (NCF) database had been leaked due to a misconfigured Amazon Web Services S3 cloud storage bucket.
Discovered last October 3, Vickery said that sensitive data kept by the credit repair firm amounting to 111GB had been left exposed online. He estimates that up to around 47,000 individuals may be affected.
