Montana Representative Pushes for DNA Privacy Law

Billings Republican Rep. Daniel Zolnikov is reportedly pushing a bill which will allow Montanans to take full control of what happens to their DNA data.

Zolnikov explained that every time someone shares biometric information, which is anything on one’s body that can be used to identify, the information can be shared and most of the time for a price.

The lawmaker says that the bill should be able to allow people to go wherever they want whenever they want without the fear of being tracked. Zolnikov added that the measure, which he will be working on with a Democrat lawmaker from Missoula, already has bipartisan support.
