Millions of Chinese Users CVs Exposed Online

Cybersecurity expert Bob Diachenko recently revealed that around 202 million CVs of Chinese users have been left exposed on an unsecured MongoDB server.

The HackenProof director of cyber risk research said that the MongoDB instance had as much as 854GB of data, which were mostly CVs containing highly detailed personal information such as full names, home addresses, phone numbers, emails, even marital status, number of children, political affiliations, and body measurements.

Diachenko, who took to Twitter to identify the server’s administrator, said that the data appears to have come from a scraping app used to collect resumes from Chinese job portals.
