16 Jan Microsoft to Introduce End-to-End Encryption on Skype
Microsoft recently announced that it will be introducing end-to-end encryption on its messaging platform Skype. The feature will be powered with the Signal protocol which will be used to secure communications with strong encryption.
The feature, called Private Conversations, is already available for Skype Insider users. Similar to other platforms such as WhatsApp, Apple iMessage and Facebook Messenger, only the sender and the receiver will be able to see the chats, without outside interference.
Private Conversations is available for Skype Insider build (version 8.13.76.8) on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android operating system.
