18 Dec Malicious Apps Collect, Leak Sensitive Photos of Youngsters
Cyber crime experts recently warned against apps that can steal images and other sensitive information, even password-protected ones, from users’ devices.
According to investigators, the apps sends the personal data to developers who usually sell them on the gray market. A number of youngsters in Delhi had been victimized by such a scheme, according to the police.
Indian Cyber Army chairman Kislay Chaudhary, who works with Delhi Police’s cyber crime cell, revealed that all kinds of data are up for sale, and that there have been several such cases in recent months where the stolen pictures had been used in the pornographic industry.
