Kaspersky: Philippines is the 9th Most Attacked in the World

Cybersecurity company Kaspersky Labs recently revealed that the Philippines has placed ninth on the list of countries that receive the most cyber attacks during the second quarter.

Kaspersky added that the country, which had previously been in 44th place, registered 10.6 million malware infections during the three months to June, more than triple the number of threats from a year earlier, and nearly double the first quarter level.

Malware expert Denis Parinov said that most of the malware that have been detected in the Philippines during the second quarter of 2018 were cryptominers, with the majority of the attacks directed at home users,
