20 Dec Ireland’s Data Regulator Opens Probe into Twitter
Ireland’s Data Protection Commissioner said it has opened an investigation into Twitter’s compliance with the GDPR after the social media firm reported a number of breaches this year.
In an official statement, the DPC said that it opened a statutory inquiry last November into Twitter’s compliance with the EU’s data privacy laws following the receipt of a number of data breach notifications from the company since the enforcement of the regulation on May 25 of this year.
