InvisiMole Malware Uses Victim’s Computers Webcam

Researchers have recently discovered a stealthy cyber-espionage malware tool called InvisiMole which uses the webcam and microphone of its victim’s computers for eavesdropping.

It is said that the malware is so stealthy that ESET researchers discovered only now after it has been in operation since 2013. The malware was used in Ukraine and Russia and is suspected to have been used in a handful of highly targeted attacks.

Zuzana Hromcová, malware analyst at ESET, says that InvisiMole is a fully-equipped spyware with rich capabilities that can allow attackers to hear and see whatever their victim’s device do.
