Details of millions of WWE fans were made public due to an IT error earlier this week. The breach included home and email addresses, educational background, salaries, and even ethnicities.
Bob Dyanchencko of security firm Kromtech revealed his discovery of the unprotected WWE database with more than 3 million users that was left accessible to anyone who had knowledge of the web address.
Dyanchenko adds that another WWE database leak on an Amazon server addresses exposed the information, telephone numbers, and names of European fans.
A spokesperson from WWE says that the company is investigating the potential vulnerabilities of housing database on a third-party platform, but no credit card information or passwords were included in the leak.
