Indian Government Seeks Answers on Facebook’s Data Sharing Agreements

The government of India is reportedly giving Facebook until June 20 to respond to reports of its agreements with various device manufacturers where the data of customers were shared without their consent.

The government said in its official statement that it is deeply concerned about such lapses/violations which is why the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is seeking an explanation from Facebook in a detailed factual report on the issue.
