03 Oct India to Allow Public Feedback on Data Privacy Framework Until October 10
The Indian government has extended the deadline for public feedback on the draft Personal Data Protection Bill until October 10 to oblige to the request of multiple quarters.
It is said that the extension had been prompted by the recent decision of the Supreme Court that restricted the use of Aadhaar by private entities.
The draft was uploaded to the Ministry of Electronics and IT’s website last August 16 for public consultation.
