03 Aug India Loses $1.7 Million from Data Breaches in 2017
According to a recent infographic by Times of India, data breaches in the country in 2017 alone cost as much as $1.7 million.
Despite this, statistics from IBM and Statista showed that the amount is dwarfed in comparison to the cost incurred by the US, which goes up to nearly $8 million.
It was also established that while the leading cause of breaches are criminal cyber attacks, 28% are caused by human error.
