02 Dec High Court Orders Compensation for Morrisons Employees Affected by Breach
The UK High Court recently ruled in favor of Morrisons staff and ordered compensation for the distress the company’s data leak has caused them.
Justice Langstaff found the supermarket company to be legally responsible for the leak, and that vicarious liability, not primary liability, had been established.
The judgement is seen as a landmark decision since the case is the very first data leak class action in the UK.
