Hackers Hit HealthCare.gov Site, Steals Data of 75,000 People

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) confirmed last week that the Federally Facilitated Exchanges (FFE) system, which is used by healthcare insurance agents and brokers to enroll users into Obamacare plans had been breached.

CMS Administrator Seema Verma said that they detected “anomalous system activity” in the FFE on October 13, 2018 and discovered that hackers had stolen the personal information of around 75,000 individuals.

Verma assured that they have already notified the FBI and are working to see who had been affected so they can notify them and provide them with credit protection.
