Hacker Claims to Have Access to Apple Internal Tools

An unnamed hacker recently claimed on Twitter to have access to Apple’s Global Service Exchange (GSX) system, which is an internal tool used by authorized employees to return information on Apple customers.

According to ZDNet, the hacker was able to provide the model, series, and type when given a valid serial number, but refused to give any other evidence to support his claim. Meanwhile, another source familiar with Apple’s system said that the hacker seems to only have access to a test version of the GSX tool.

The hacker was said to have communicated in broken English and did not respond after his claims had been challenged. Apple did not issue a comment on the matter.
