16 Jan Google Applies New Privacy Restrictions for Apps on Play Store
Google confirmed in a blog post last Monday that it will be removing apps that collect call and SMS logs from its Play Store as part of the company’s growing efforts to improve its user’s control over their data.
The new restriction, which was first announced October last year, gives developers 90 days to review their requests for permissions.
While developers can opt to submit a permissions declaration form for further review, Android Police reported that the company is being strict with compliance and typically reject requests from developers.
