20 Sep French Startup to Offer Privacy-Focused Alternative to Alexa, Google
The founder of French startup Snips recently said that they may have found a solution to privacy problems carried by smart assistants like Alexa and Siri.
Snips co-founder Rand Hindi says that its solution would be to use a built in software, totally independent from the cloud, on the device. Hindi says that processing user data on the device itself should provide a strong guarantee of privacy.
Hindi also revealed that the company is planning to launch a cryptographic token via an ICO as a means of incentive for developers that wish to work on the Snips platform, instead of using a model that monetizes user data.
